Contact Form Defender

Hosted contact forms for small business websites: each message will be checked for the signs of a bot, then delivered to your inbox, with as little data kept as the job allows.

What it will do

Planned features. Nothing here works yet: this is what Contact Form Defender is being built to do.

PLANNED 01

Keep your form, change one address

It will give your form a hosted address to send to. Your page, your fields and your design will stay as they are.

PLANNED 02

Four quiet checks on every message

It will look at a hidden field that people never see but bots tend to fill in, a minimum time on the page, a size cap and a rate limit per sender. There will be no puzzle for your visitors to solve.

PLANNED 03

Delivered to your inbox

It will send each message that passes as one plain email, with Reply-To set to the person who wrote, so you answer from your own mail.

PLANNED 04

Little data kept

It will hold a message only as long as delivery needs, and add no one who writes to you to any list.

Who it is for

Anyone whose contact page should bring in questions from people, not junk from scripts.

Small businesses with a contact page

A plumber, a dental office, a studio: a form that fills with junk between real requests.

Web designers with client sites

One place to point the forms of the sites you build and look after.

Sites without a server

Hand-built pages and static site exports that need somewhere for a form to send.

Want it when it opens?

Tell us what you need. Your message reaches the team, and Digital Real Estate replies by email.

No list, no newsletter: we use your email only to reply to you.

Questions

Is Contact Form Defender available now?

Not yet. It is in preparation and has no opening date.

What happens to the messages, and how long are they kept?

The plan: each message that passes the checks goes to your inbox as one email, and the copy on our side is kept only as long as delivery needs. Messages will not be read for advertising, sold or added to any list. The exact retention period will be written down plainly before anyone can sign up.

Can I add the people who write to me to my newsletter?

Not on the strength of a contact message alone. A message lets you reply to it; marketing email under laws such as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) needs its own consent. Contact Form Defender will deliver messages, not build mailing lists.

What happens to my email?

It arrives as one message to the team. We use it to reply to you, add it to no list and share it with no one.

Who is behind it?

Digital Real Estate, which prepares online businesses on the domains it owns.
